Chuck Pitts Photography

It seems like I have always had a camera in my hands, starting with a Kodak pocket 110 camera. I worked my way though full manual cameras and darkroom chemicals that transformed film and paper to actual pictures and now use fully digital cameras and use post processing tools like Adobe’s Lightroom. I have always been behind the camera and have 100’s of thousands of digital images from just about everything - but have never put the images up for general viewing. An working closing with my son’s school on many photo assignments for their web and print use, changed that. I chose a name and a site with a strong lab and set up a pro account to post and share the images with the school, students and their parents. It was never set up as a small portfolio and has been criticized because of the large amounts of images. But, it has been praised by the students and the parents that get to see images, frozen moments in time, of their son or daughter that might not otherwise have made the top shot reel. And it is for them, and those reactions, that I do what I do.

If I can help you.....  please let me know.

If you are looking for a "professional" photographer that makes his living this way, then I am not the person you are looking for. But, if you are looking for someone that has built up some skill over the years and does this work because I love it and want to help capture every special moment for you as well, then I just might be who you are looking for.

In a world where everyone has access to the same photographic equipment that professionals have, many people have the ability to take amazing pictures with the phone in their hand or with a kit they picked up at Costco or by splurging for the whole set up, but do they know and understand how their camera works in order to not simply take the picture, but to create the intimacy with the moment that caused them to take the picture to begin with. That is what I aim to do.

I like to catch real, honest moments. Let me follow you around at your picnic, or trip to six flags. Let me be your "personal paparazzi". Invite me to your family gathering, birthday party or other special occasion or trip and I'll help capture the moments and emotion that will help "freeze time".

Let me know how I can help you. Send me an email at or head to the contact page. Either way, I look forward to working with you.

Chuck -- Oh my goodness.... Wow! I can hardly believe how beautiful the pictures turned out! What a gift you have; what a blessing to share! Thank you so much. I can hardly wait for Jody's return later this evening -- He was so disappointed to have not been here yesterday. Your pictures will be the perfect bridge for him to get a good sense of the special event.

Chuck Are you kidding me? These pictures are phenomenal. They give me chills all over again. I missed so much of the event but you seemed to have captured the essence of it all. I am blown away. Not only by your skills but also about the fact that you and your family took your entire morning and put so much love and compassion into this event. The compliments from these families have not stopped coming in about the quality of our volunteers. We are so blessed and our cup is so full. You have an incredible family and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything.
